A Calling to Prepare
One night in March 2021 I woke up and had on my heart to start praying, because I knew that God wanted to show me something. The moment I went into a room and opened my Bible the answer came to me, as if God spoke right into my heart. I couldn't hear an audible voice, but it was a voice inside my heart saying without a doubt:
"I want you to prepare like Noah. Get rid of all your things. You wont see it now, but I have something for you."
That was it. I knew instantly that I had to follow this voice, and knew it was the Holy Spirit speaking. So, I started packing in April, May, June. I asked God several times what he meant with this, but He did not answer this questions. It was only the same word: Prepare and get rid of your stuff. I had no other choice but to follow. Often during several weeks I woke up in the middle of the night at 2am or 3am and started sorting out things, packing boxes and puting stuff online. Over a periode of almost four months I packed boxes for family and friends, sold and donated furniture, books, decorations, etc. I got rid of almost everything, a whole house full of things. But God was silent with more direction.
A Vision of Charis
But one day, without warning, a vision came to my family. Not to me, but to Lucas. He was sitting in his office and listened to a teaching of Andrew Wommack, when he suddenly saw an image, a vision of me, studying at Charis Bible College in Colorado, USA. He saw me clearly, and he heard God's voice speaking to his heart that we have to leave Germany and go to Colorado for Charis. The moment Lucas told me about his vision of me as a student, I knew that it was real. There was only peace. I never had planned to be a student again, and also had no plan about going to a Bible College. Us both had no idea where Colorado even was. We had never been in the United States. But there was peace. It was obvious that this was a direction from God.
Open Doors to the USA
In the following weeks after we made the decision to trust God and go to the United States, God really opened up all doors. I knew that it would going to be crazy. Only one week after our decision to do the move, Lucas got a job as an engineer in the States at the same company he was working for in Germany. It was unbelievable. He can work remotely from everywhere in the United States and we got unlimited visas for the whole family. A move which was defintely not "normal". It was a miracle. The doors to America were opened from here to now.
On January 6 we took the plane from Frankfurt to Denver and left Germany only with 10 luggage and our dog Ena.
